Patti Samar & Dale Hemmila

We are the husband and wife team co-editors / publishers of Superior Woman.

A graduate of Marquette Senior High School and Northern Michigan University, Patti has always been a “Superior Woman” at heart. She sails, paddleboards, kayaks and drinks wine on their beach…sometimes all in the same day!

Dale is a Yooper Boy through-and-through. Born and raised in Ishpeming, he is a Negaunee High School graduate. He also graduated from NMU. Dale bleeds Packer green and gold and is an avid mountain biker.

Together, we love sharing the stories of women who live in the Upper Peninsula and the Lake Superior region.
